This kit is suitable to perform rescues of workers using lanyards, vertical arrest systems, and web retractable lifelines. The Shark Kit functions by first attaching a descent kit to the full-body harness of the victim, then cutting their primary attachment with a unique, bladeless cutter. The rescuer then descends down to the victim, collects them, and assists them in descending to safety. No assembly is required by the user, and the kit is rated for maximum loads of up to 660 pounds. To perform a rescue, the rescuer must have specific rescue training; consider the Guardian Fall Protection series of training classes if additional training is needed.
